In 1992, Kimberly and John Puckett founded Caribou Coffee. John was working as a
management consultant for Bain and Company down Boston, conceptualizing and
developing new ideas and innovations for the company. He came to a decision that he wanted to
establish his own business and be an entrepreneur. He and his wife had a short
backpack trip in Alaska where they gave birth to the idea to raise some funds
and venture into a coffee business. His wife continued to work with General Motors while John bravely went to
Minnesota to look for the first location to set up the business.
Today, Caribou Company is considered to be the second biggest
coffee houses in the United States next to Starbucks. Aside from coffee, Caribou
also offers tea and other bakery goods. It had successfully branched out 415
coffee shops in over 40 countries and there are 126 franchises all over the
globe. The company specializes as a coffee and espresso retailer, and the
signature coffee is a mixture of sweet and spicy with some hint of berry notes
which has a down-to-earth flavor and produces a very relaxing feeling.
Determining the
Quality

What makes the company sustain its popularity is actually the passion that they possess in their products. There is always the continuing process of new innovations and discoveries on what can still be done to enhance and improve the quality of the famous Caribou Coffee. Experts are hired for this, and not only do they work but rather, they love and enjoy seeing new things as far as coffee is concerned.
Different Flavors of Caribou

- Freshness. As the name suggests, the coffee is as fresh as it is with all the quality and aroma of a newly picked coffee found in a cup.
- Starlight. This coffee is a combination of the flavors of toasted coffee grains with nuts and malt. There is a tinge of berries and maple candy to enhance the already rich flavor of chocolate.
- Guatemala El Paraiso. The flavor has the taste of citrus and floral taste, with a mix of cranberry and dried cherries. It has a distinct, unique flavor that lingers in your mouth.
- Daybreak Morning Blend. This is one of the favorites of Caribou lovers, just a light and cheery taste, a little sweet with a nut and fruit taste after every sip.
- Colombia Cosecha de Oro. This type of coffee has
a rich caramel flavor taste combined with a striking taste of roasted nuts.
